Precisely because of its increasingly widespread use in various fields, it has become necessary for the <strong>European Commission<\/strong> to regulate its use through the so-called <strong>Artificial Intelligence Act<\/strong> (AIA).<\/p>\n<p>In the in-depth study written by the <strong>European IP, IT, Data Protection department<\/strong>, and by the <strong>European Technology industry group<\/strong> Andersen professionals, including Italian partners <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.andersen.dotandmedia.com\/en\/professional\/paola-finetto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paola Finetto<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.andersen.dotandmedia.com\/en\/professional\/francesco-marconi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Francesco Marconi<\/a>, examine the implications the new legislation will have on the application of artificial intelligence to the legal field, exploring its opportunities and assessing its risks.<\/p>\n<p>The European Commission&#8217;s proposal for the AIA is a significant step toward creating a regulatory framework for the use of AI within the Union. In terms of its application to the legal sector, it recognizes the benefits for practitioners, from optimizing research to automating routine tasks.
