The conference is sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Arts and Culture.<\/p>\n<p>To date, we have already received confirmation from the most important movie and TV series producers (such as Sky Italia, Vidia, RAI Italian television, Telecom Italia, Fox). All the TV and filmmaker associations will attend the conference (ANICA, AGICI, ANEC, ANEM and UNIVIDEO).<\/p>\n<p>The law provides tax credits for producers, distributors, movie theater owners, and technical industries. The law also provides for the sheltering of profits, not only for film production and distribution companies\u00a0but also for companies not previously operating within the film sector.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers will explain the so-called \u201cexternal\u201d cinema tax credit. It refers to the tax credit granted to investors not operating in the film\/audiovisual industry who make contributions in cash via contracts of association in participation and profit-sharing contracts. This type of tax credit is now set at a maximum of 40%of the cash contribution. Prior to the new provision, the measure was set at a fixed rate of 40%.<\/p>\n<p>It will be explained also the so-called \u201cinternal cinema tax credit\u201d, that refers to the tax credit granted to the operators in the film\/audiovisual industry. Tax benefits are addressed to production companies, distribution companies, movie theater companies and technical industries.<\/p>\n<div>The regime aims at promoting investments in the cinema and audiovisual sector as well as strengthening such crucial industry in Italy.
