{"id":7040,"date":"2019-02-19T17:09:40","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T16:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.andersen.dotandmedia.com\/robo-advice-the-italian-scenario\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T11:48:59","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T09:48:59","slug":"robo-advice-the-italian-scenario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.andersen.dotandmedia.com\/en\/robo-advice-the-italian-scenario\/","title":{"rendered":"Robo advice: the Italian scenario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marco Giorgi, Andersen Partner and honorary fellow to the Financial Markets Regulations and Comparative Private Law classes at the University of Rome \u2013 Tor Vergata, took part in the publication of the FinTech book titled &#8220;<strong><em>La\u00a0digitalizzazione\u00a0della\u00a0consulenza\u00a0in\u00a0materia\u00a0di\u00a0investimenti\u00a0finanziari<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;, an in-depth analysis on the digitalization of financial advice, the so-called\u00a0<em>robo advice<\/em>, issued by the Italian public authority responsible for regulating the financial markets (CONSOB).<\/p>\n<p>The paper analyzes the application of this innovative advice method in Italy with a specific focus on the consequences for the protection of\u00a0retail investors.\u00a0As the <em>robo\u00a0advice<\/em> is increasing\u00a0in Europe, this phenomenon stimulated the national regulators and the international institutions to evaluate the\u00a0current regulatory frameworks and safeguards.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian practitioners and academics noticed that there is a growing interest in the <em>robo\u00a0advice<\/em> offer, although not yet comparable to other foreign markets.
