Andersen CEO Andrea De Vecchi comments on African economy

Africa is a country constantly growing by population and GDP, consumer spending in some countries will reach rates of over 8%, the most lively segment for growth is that of services: information and communication technology beyond to that of Finance. The positive consequence is that huge frontiers are opening up for investments, in markets that are still unripe and, in fact, in full expansion.
The statements of CEO
According to Andrea De Vecchi, CEO of Andersen operating in over 170 countries, “the problem with going to Africa is finding uniform legislative standards and this factor discourages investors“. That “uniformity” should be one of the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, a maxi free trade area for AU member countries which provides for the abatement of duties on 90% of exported goods.
