Andersen supports Foscarini on the acquisition of Ingo Maurer

Foscarini SpA, a well-known Made in Italy company that has been producing decorative designer lighting since 1981, has acquired 90 percent of the shares of Ingo Maurer GmbH. An Andersen team, led by Paolo Trevisanato, sub-coordinator of the European M&A department, supported the company at different stages of the transaction: negotiated the transaction, handled the due diligence, prepared all the structuring of the deal, and helped draft the related contracts under Italian and German regulations.

 

The other Andersen professionals involved in the deal have been Stefan Kraus, Alessio Rossi, Nicole Frigo, Serena Quaranta, Johannes Voss, Christian Jaenecke and Sara Cancian.

 

A client of Andersen for many years, Foscarini chose to invest in the Ingo Maurer brand, established in 1966, because of its uniqueness.

In this sector, which recorded a growth of 22.2 percent from 2020 to 2021, Foscarini is positioned in the market as a hub of different creative expressions. The acquisition of Ingo Maurer comes with the intention of preserving its expressive peculiarities and fostering its development in global markets, thanks to a Foscarini sales network of more than 2,500 dealers worldwide.
