Andrea De Vecchi explains Andersen’s growth strategy in Europe

23 February 2023 | Press

In an article in the Spanish magazine El Confidencial, Andrea De Vecchi, CEO of Andersen Italy and Co-Regional Managing Partner Europe, explains the next steps in Andersen’s growth strategy in Europe, which includes further development of the association’s offer of professional, tax, legal and financial advisory services. This goal is pursued daily by Andersen’s member firms and professionals, committed to implementing the range of services while maintaining the specialization and quality of a boutique legal and tax firm.

The magazine’s article highlights how Andersen’s growth over the past seven years has set the stage for the ambitious plan to materialize. A decade after opening the first offices in Europe, Andersen is present in 40 countries through teams of 450 associates and 2,400 professionals in 24 operational departments.

“We have established ourselves in all jurisdictions, but we can still grow in some of them, such as Germany, where we want to increase our competitiveness, and in the UK, where we are satisfied with our Tax department, but we still need to develop the Legal branch. Furthermore, we are consolidating our cooperation agreement with Squair in France,’ Andrea De Vecchi explained.

Services uniformity is not only about the recognition of Andersen in the jurisdictions where it is present, but also about business growth. The target audience is composed by mid-market companies with an international vocation, as “these are the companies that make the most of cross-selling and cross-border negotiations with the different Andersen firms,” explained De Vecchi. “Our international clients find in our network the peace of mind of receiving the same service in every country where we are active.”

Regarding the brand role, De Vecchi explains how it is a facilitator for both professional and client relationships. “Andersen maintains its strength,” he emphasizes. The market perceives the brand as a guarantee of quality and of a culture where ethics is fundamental: values that are complementary to the attention of professionals. This is why, in its ambitious expansion strategy, the organization carefully selects its collaborators. “We look for firms that have a similar mentality to ours: seriousness, dedication, quality, and international vocation.”
