Artificial intelligence and business intelligence: the new frontiers of technology

Since the exchange of personal information online has become a key component of socialization, the right to data protection has become even more complicated. Indeed, technological interactions involve data defined as res derelictae, rather than intentionally and knowingly entered into the digital system. It is necessary indentifing the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, especially to business intelligence (BI). This term refers to the combination of strategy and technology for collecting, analyse and interpretate data from internal and external sources to establish a data-driven business approach. This involves the use of algorithms to implement predictive analytics to improve business strategies, take informed actions, and implement more efficient business processes.

Data treatment in automated decision-making processes

From the integration of business intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI) comes continuous intelligence (CI). This method is based on artificial intelligence and uses machine learning to process and interpret a constant stream of disjointed data, discover complex patterns, and provide knowledge that can be immediately and automatically translated into actions: this is the concept of time-sensitive data.

The article also analyzes the applications of artificial intelligence to automated decision-making processes, for which a monitoring system must always be in place. New possibilities for remote control, for example, require a constant balancing act between the interest in maximizing technological potential and protecting of workers privacy, as in the cases of profiling and labor relations management.
