Il Sole 24 Ore: in-depth look at the “agile trial” of our lawyers
|
Today, Il Sole 24 Ore – Quotidiano del Diritto published the in-depth study signed by our lawyers Andrea Ferrandi and Sara Cancian on the adoption of extraordinary measures in the judicial activity to counter the Covid-19 emergency.
The postponement of hearings and the suspension of court deadlines are just some of the initiatives taken. In order to ensure maximum social distancing, remote connections may be used to guarantee the conduct of civil hearings that do not require the presence of anyone other than defendants and defendants. Criminal hearings will also be held using video conferencing technology or other remote connection systems.
In the article, Andrea Ferrandi and Sara Cancian take inspiration from the analysis of these emergency measures to reflect on the progressive dematerialization of trials: an innovative mechanism already in place that has only been accelerated by the epidemiological emergency Covid-19.
Andersen lawyers underline the advantages of a digitalized Justice: from the management efficiency to the reduction of costs of the whole judicial structure, from the increased accessibility of places to the reduction of time and costs for professionals.
